Sankofa Spirit welcomes NEW CLIENT - THE GULLAH TRAVELING THEATER, Inc.

The Gullah Traveling Theater, Inc. (GTTI) is a 501C3 organization that celebrates the history, significance, and richness of the Gullah culture. They offer performances and educational programs providing an understanding of the direct ties between Western Africa, especially Sierra Leone, with South Carolina and the entire Gullah/Geechee Corridor. Their work has been instrumental in illustrating the importance of cultural diversity in making our country great. Led by founder, creative director, and headliner - Ms. Anita Singleton Prather a.k.a. Aunt Pearlie Sue - GTTI is developing a new strategic plan that includes providing theatrical workforce development opportunities for young adults in the Greater Beaufort area and a permanent home for arts education and local productions.
