CELEBRATING AT THE NAACP FREEDOM BANQUET

August 19, 2023 was a great day to celebrate with new friends, colleagues, community leaders and officials at the Ridgeland Branch of the NAACP’s Freedom Banquet. In addition to amazing food from Fraser’s Catering - Chef Ronnie & Priscilla Fraser, of Ridgeland, South Carolina - we were inspired and entertained by Savannah’s Mayor Van Johnson. The Branch honored local nonprofits for their outstanding leadership - including SSC’s newest client The Legacy Foundation of South Carolina - and local authors. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented The Rev. Dr. and Bishop Deloris McNeal Young. I was honored to be apart of the event committee and had the pleasure of sitting with my husband, Mr. Jon Bullitt and The Historic Penn Center’s newly called executive director, Dr. Robert Adams among others.
